At Noyac Knits, we approach women's knitwear differently. Instead of starting with style, we begin with color. Each ribbon cardigan is defined by a named colorway, representing a careful pairing of signature grosgrain ribbon trim, yarn color, and coordinating buttons. This is the color story of the piece. The ribbon we use is American made and vintage, deadstock or a heritage pattern. Because we have limited stock of each ribbon, once the ribbon is gone, it is gone, and we retire the colorway.
Understanding how to shop our sweaters is simple once you know our philosophy.
Each Noyac Knits ribbon sweater name corresponds to a specific combination of merino wool or Egyptian cotton yarn and ribbon trim. Some colorways are soft and understated, while others are playful and bold. Your chosen colorway defines the signature look of your cardigan. And the colors in the ribbon offer built-in color pairing suggestions.
Important: Not every colorway is available in every silhouette. Availability may vary depending on seasonal collections. Selecting your favorite colorway first ensures you get the palette you love, then allows you to choose which silhouettes are offered in that combination.
Once you've selected a colorway, choose the cardigan style that complements your wardrobe. Our collection includes:
Classic Cardigan — tailored and timeless, perfect for layering over workwear for business casual days, under a blazer or for everyday outings. These are made in a 15-gauge knit that is lightweight and not bulky - it is the thickness of a t-shirt.

Crop Cardigan — modern waist-length design, slightly relaxed, ideal with high-waisted pants, skirts, or over dresses. These are made in an 8-gauge knit that is slightly thicker than the classic cardigan.

Puff Sleeve Cardigan — feminine with soft volume, creating a romantic silhouette. These are available only in merino and in a thickness that falls between the classic cardigan and the crop cardigan. They are wonderful to wear fall through spring. The length also falls slightly below the natural waist so that they pair well with a wide variety of pants and skirts, both high-rise and mid-rise styles.

Every ribbon cardigan can be styled with a matching sleeveless shell sweater to create a polished twin set or worn independently. Options include:
Classic Sleeveless Shell — versatile and refined and available in merino and cotton.
Crop Sleeveless Shell — modern proportion for contemporary styling available in merino and cotton.
Double Neck Shell — elevated neckline detail for a sophisticated finish. Available in cotton.
This system allows for effortless mixing and matching. The matching sleeveless sweaters offer versatility because they too can be a single layer under a blazer, worn solo for a minimalist look, or worn over a blouse.
Our luxury knitwear is crafted in imported ultrafine merino wool or Egyptian cotton, chosen for softness, breathability, and longevity. Fine-gauge knits offer lightweight comfort for warmer days, while mid-gauge knits provide structure and elegance across seasons. Every piece is designed for seasonless wear, perfect for layering or standalone styling.
At Noyac Knits, we make dressing simple and intentional:
Choose the ribbon colorway you love. Then choose the silhouette that suits your style.
By putting color first, we create a system where each piece is easy to mix, match, and wear—making your wardrobe timeless, versatile, and effortlessly chic.

Q: What is a Noyac Knits colorway?
A: A colorway is a named combination of vintage grosgrain ribbon trim, yarn color, and coordinating buttons that defines the signature look of each ribbon sweater. Because we use limited-stock American-made and vintage ribbon, each colorway is retired once the ribbon is gone.
Q: Are all colorways available in every silhouette?
A: No — availability varies by silhouette and season. We recommend choosing your colorway first, then selecting from the available silhouettes offered in that combination.
Q: What materials are used in Noyac Knits sweaters?
A: Our sweaters are crafted in imported ultrafine merino wool or Egyptian cotton, chosen for softness, breathability, and longevity. We offer both fine-gauge and mid-gauge knits for year-round wear.
Q: What is the difference between the Classic, Crop, and Puff Sleeve cardigans?
A: The Classic Cardigan is a lightweight 15-gauge knit — as thin as a t-shirt — ideal for layering. The Crop Cardigan is an 8-gauge knit with a modern waist-length silhouette. The Puff Sleeve Cardigan is merino-only, falls just below the natural waist, and is perfect for fall through spring.
Q: Can I create a twin set with a Noyac Knits cardigan?
A: Yes. Every ribbon cardigan can be paired with a matching sleeveless shell — Classic, Crop, or Double Neck — to create a polished twin set. Each shell is also versatile enough to wear on its own or layered under a blazer.
Q: Once a colorway is retired, can I still purchase it?
A: No. When the ribbon stock for a colorway is depleted, that colorway is permanently retired. We encourage customers to shop their favorite colorways while they are available.
